paul.nowak wrote: Matt, thanks for the comments. I made an error on the version of Plone. It's 2.5 Plone running on Zope 2.9x. In regards to the additional products, we have a skin installed and we have a product that we had custom developed for us that connects to a PostgreSQL database. We've looked at slow PostgreSQL queries causing problems and have not been able to find an issue. We've also tested for the case where the PostgreSQL server is down and have not been able to create an issue. We therefor...

China's Jingkou Government Sends Delegation to Hold Conferences in Houston and San Francisco with the Aim of Attracting Investme

ZHENJIANG, China, April 28 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- In order to increase mutual understanding and seek common development, two investment conferences will be held by China's Jingkou District People's Government at the beginning of May in Houston and San Francisco. During the conferences, attendees will be invited and an investment environment will be introduced.

The future development of Jingkou will focus on the following three main fields: first, with its fine location along the Yangtze River, the Jingkou government will take lead in large-scale projects such as ship-building and logistics to promote the overall development of the area; second, taking advantage of the major urban area, the Jingkou government will introduce a modern service industry as well as consolidate the traditional service sector to reach new heights; and finally, having a concentration of universities, the Jingkou government will build a software research and development centre to facilitate the high-tech industry and optimize the industrial structure. All investors will receive the commitment from the Jingkou government highlights the following: after the acceptance as legal entities, investors in Jingkou District will have legal protection on property ownership, usage rights, operation and management rights, decision making power on employment and legal income disposal rights; and the government will provide first-class service procedures for investors which covers the project settlement by choosing the place, administrative approval of land, planning, design, construction and appraisal after completion. In order to guarantee and maintain the legal interests and rights of the investors, the government has set up a coordination centre to tackle all the possible complaints and conflicts.

The key enterprises will settle down in the Zhenjiang Xinminzhou Port Industrial Park and Jingkou Industrial Park.

As a semi sand island, Xinminzhou Port Industrial Park is going to be a ship-building base and a transit port for logistics. With a good view of Zhenjiang Jiaoshan Moutain, Xinminzhou Port Industrial Park is located on the north shore of the Yangtze River, in the middle area of the NingZhenYang Delta. Covering an area of 22.5 square kilometers, Xinminzhou Port boasts a 5.38- kilometer deep-water coastline which is the only excellent deep-water coastline remaining undeveloped along the Yangtze River. The main waterway is 1500-5000 meters wide. At present, some projects have gained approval, such as the public port project with an investment of $150,000,000 and the Hongqi ship building project for 200,000-ton oil tanker building, with an investment of $49,800,000 from Japan. In addition, some projects are under business negotiation and promotion, such as construction material of Chinese housing and Brazilian ship building, etc. The settlements of these projects will push the development of the industrial park to an even higher level.

With a planned area of four square kilometers, Jingkou Industrial Park is one of the seven provincial level development zones in Zhenjiang which have been approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. Some enterprises have already started here, of which the Praxair project has won their approval and a Canadian aluminium industrial project will soon be arriving.

Zhenjiang is located at the convergent area of the Yangtze River and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. As the main district of Zhenjiang city, Jingkou District has gathered numerous businessmen since ancient times. Nowadays, it is still an ideal place, attracting many companies such as ouchan, Parkson and RT-Mart. The government is committed to upgrading Zhenjiang city by introducing modern service sectors. Currently, the government is conducting urban development by a pattern of ''mountain in the south, and river in the north.'' A new high-grade urban area has been founded in the beautiful natural surrounding of Nanshan scenery spots. A Zhenjiang ''Bund'' has also been built along the Yangtze River. And a north waterfront, covering an area two times larger than the West Lake in Hangzhou, will be set up within five years, with an investment of $10,000,000,000. Around the waterfront, a North Lake business circle will be formed where one can find all the facilities for leisure, sightseeing, entertainment, residence and shopping.

Jiangsu University, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology and Zhenjiang College are among the 6 high education organizations in Zhenjiang. Additionally, Zhenjiang boasts 421 research and development institutions which covers different fields. Moreover, the advanced Labor Force Market and over 30 vocational schools in zhenjiang well meet the requirements of the investors.

Background of the City:

Located at the convergent area of the Yangtze River and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Zhenjiang is neighboured by Nanjing to the west, Shanghai to the east, and Yangzhou to the north, across the Yangtze River. With a distance of 240 kilometers, it takes 2 hours to get to Shanghai from Zhenjiang. Jingkou District is the urban district in Zhenjiang. It has an area of 1,260,000 square kilometers and a population of 360,000. The ways of transportation contain an in-zone highway, a main line railway, a city railway and an international Dagang Port with 139 berths. Among the berths, there are 20 for 10,000-ton class vessels, and 50,000-ton class vessels can be moored anytime.

Loading a history of over 3,000 years, Zhenjiang is a famous historical city and an important centre where the ancient '' Wu'' culture was originated. The ecological principle of ''Unveiling the mountains to see the green scenes, showing the rivers to enjoy the blue water'' has merged into the overall urban development. One can experience both the magnificent power of the grand flowing river and the elegant flavor of the streams and bridges here. Three mountains, Jinshan, Jiaoshan and Beigushan, lying in different positions are the most enjoyable tourist destinations which have won the fame of ''urban woods, mighty rivers'' and ''the No.1 river and mountain under heaven''. As a result, the city has won different titles as ''China's Excellent Tourist City,'' ''National Garden City,'' ''National Health City'' and ''National Model City of Environmental Protection.''
