Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

NetMotion Wireless Mobile VPN Releases Support for Windows Vista
Latest Version of Mobility XE Also Improves Roaming Reliability With New Client Network Failover Feature

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/09/07 -- NetMotion Wireless, the industry-leading Mobile VPN solution provider and Microsoft® Registered Partner, has announced the immediate availability of the latest version of its Mobile VPN, Mobility XE(TM) version 7.2, which supports the Windows Vista(TM) operating system.

NetMotion Wireless was the first Mobile VPN to announce support for Windows Vista. Previewed in December 2006 in conjunction with the enterprise launch of Windows Vista, Mobility XE version 7.2 has been tested by over 60 enterprises in a cross section of industries. Allowing organizations to test both products prior to their widespread release gives administrators the opportunity to see first-hand the advantages of using Mobility XE for secure, continuous access to network resources and applications from devices running Windows.

Mobility XE 7.2 also includes a new Client Network Failover feature that automatically identifies when a connection is broken downstream and switches to the next-fastest available connection. For mobile workers that rely on more than one wireless network interface, Client Network Failover saves valuable time and provides more seamless connectivity.

"City of Austin Public Safety agencies deployed the preview version of the Mobility XE 7.2 release," said Ralph Warren, Network Systems Supervisor for the City of Austin, a NetMotion Wireless customer. "We tested the new Network Client Failover feature with our enterprise, police, EMS and fire personnel in the field over 802.11, Cellular and LAN interfaces. Our mobile workers found they didn't have to waste time trying to authenticate to unavailable networks, which gives them a better user experience and helps optimize our workers' productivity."

"As anticipated when we released the Mobility XE 7.2 preview, our customers who have deployed this release are excited about its benefits," said Tom Johnston, senior vice president of product and marketing at NetMotion Wireless. "Even minutes saved in the field can equate to enormous gains in productivity -- particularly when you multiply that time savings across the mobile workforce. If workers can fit in another site visit, process another order or address an issue more quickly because they're spending less time worrying about their connectivity, organizations see the real impact to their business over time."

Mobility XE 7.2 is available now.
