POMPANO BEACH, Fla., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Moniker, the first and only provider of Domain Asset Management(TM) services, today announced the sale of the domain name Porn.com for an amount in excess of US $9.5 million to MXN Ltd., an Internet media and investment firm affiliated with DOWNLOADPASS.com. Complete terms of the transaction were not fully disclosed.

The sale is the largest all-cash domain transaction in history. It is the second largest domain sale overall after Sex.com, which sold for reportedly US $12 million in cash and stock during a private sale in January 2005.

At the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. West Live Auction in March 2007 in Las Vegas, bidding on the domain fetched offers originally in the US $7 million range. Moniker has continued working with interested parties to broker the sale of the domain this week.

With thousands of unique visitors a day, plans to develop Porn.com were not immediately available. Porn.com has been managed by PremiumTraffic.com, a leading parking and monetization company. The buyer intends on leaving Porn.com with PremiumTraffic.com until such time as they develop the domain.
