- New Sonos Bundle 130 Allows Music Lovers to Wirelessly Play and Control
Music in Two Rooms of the House
Sonos Europe BV, a subsidiary of Sonos, Inc., the leading developer of
wireless multi-room music systems for the digital home, today introduced a
new Sonos Bundle attractively priced at 699 pounds Sterling. The Sonos Bundle
130 (BU130) is a direct response to European customer requests for a new
introductory bundle. The BU130 includes three of Sonos' key products -- one
Sonos ZonePlayer 80 (ZP80), one Sonos ZonePlayer 100 (ZP100) and one Sonos
Controller 100 (CR100) -- enabling customers to wirelessly stream music to
two rooms and control all that music from anywhere. The Sonos BU130 is sold
at qualified Sonos dealers or directly from Sonos at www.uk.sonos.com.
In a recent Sonos survey, new customers said they strongly preferred a
mixed ZonePlayer bundle as the ideal way to get started with Sonos. Now, in
one package, a new customer will find a ZP80 which can be connected to an
existing stereo or home theatre receiver to instantly make it part of a
digital music system; a ZP100 which can be connected to speakers and placed
in any room; and a CR100 providing wireless multi-room control of all your
music from any room in the house.
"Sonos strives to make it easy for consumers to purchase, set up and
enjoy music all over the house with our wireless digital music system," said
John MacFarlane, CEO of Sonos. "This new bundle is the best value for a music
lover to enjoy music in two rooms and control it all from the palm of their
hand."
The BU130 is the most cost effective in Sonos history. The new bundle
pricing represents a 20% discount off of the sum of the individual
components.
Also as part of today's announcement, Sonos has adjusted the European
pricing across the entire Sonos Digital Music System product line to make the
system more accessible to a wider audience. The new pricing for the Sonos
Digital Music System is as follows:
All previous Sonos bundles, the ZP100 Bundle (BU101) and the ZP80 Bundle
(BU80) will be discontinued.
In keeping with Sonos' tradition of continually improving the home music
experience, the company also announced today the release of Sonos 2.2
software to all Sonos customers. The one-button software upgrade includes
better music services support, more alarm clock choices, improved Internet
radio reliability with automatic connection restart, FLAC album art support,
and more. For more information about any of these new Sonos features, visit:

The Sonos Digital Music System is the first and only wireless multi-room
