Vega Promotional Systems Producing All Star International Poker Exhibition
Vega Promotional Systems Producing All Star International Poker Exhibition

By: PR Newswire
Jun. 28, 2007 01:00 PM

LONDON, June 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VEGA PROMOTIONAL SYSTEMS, INC. (Pink Sheets: VGPM.PK) today announced it is producing a major international poker exhibition. "The All Star Transcontinental Challenge" will be a one-of- a-kind event featuring eight of the top professional poker players in the world, competing on national television for over $1,000,000 in gold.

The exhibition will be structured as a point system tournament, where the players will accumulate points during eight single table mini-tournaments at four international venues. The first two tournaments will be held on a privately chartered mega yacht off the coast of Monte Carlo. The players will then fly via private jet to Venice, Italy for a player's reception, then board the luxurious Orient Express and travel by rail to London, England. A specially designed train car will be outfitted with a poker table and will host tournaments three, four and five. Upon arrival in London, there will be another player's reception, then the players will board a specially designed private jet that will accommodate two more tournaments, in the air, en route to Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon arrival in Las Vegas, there will be another player's reception prior to the final tournament at a major Las Vegas casino. The finale will be a black-tie affair that is open to the public.

The entire event will be filmed and will air on national television in the United States. Vega will own the programming and plans to re-release the eight-hour show in Europe, Asia, and South America.

"This type of event has never been done before," stated Michael Herron, CEO of Vega Promotional Systems. "This is the first of many tournaments of this type that we plan to produce. With the worldwide explosion of poker, this type of programming will reach out to audiences around the world. It will give people all over the globe a chance to watch the top players in the world, playing a lot of poker against each other, not against unknown Internet qualifiers, during seven grueling days, in environments where poker has never been played before."

The exhibition is scheduled to begin filming in November and will air in the United States during the first quarter of 2008.
