Codian Files Patent Infringement Suit Against Polycom

SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/09/07 -- Codian, the leading provider of video conferencing infrastructure solutions, today filed a complaint against Polycom Inc. in the federal district court in Texarkana, Arkansas, alleging infringement of U.S. Patent numbers 5,262,964 and 6,535,238. Codian seeks a permanent injunction and monetary damages. Codian asserts that Polycom infringes Codian's patents with its voice and video conferencing products, including its MGC, RMX 2000, VSX 7000, VSX 8000, HDX 9000 series, and SoundPoint IP range.

The patents cover a range of techniques for efficiently handling video conferences and exchanging multimedia data.
