ASOCS to Demonstrate CBRS Service on its Cyrus Platform

ASOCS Ltd., a pioneer in Radio Access Network (RAN) virtualization, announces availability of the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) on its Cyrus solution– a virtual base Station on mobile edge cloud. CBRS is a 150 MHz broadcast band of the 3.5 GHz band (3550MHz to 3700MHz) historically used by the United States government for radar systems.

CBRS is planned to be used in different ways; utilized by Enterprises for private LTE networks, enabling services such as smart manufacturing and warehouse IoT, secured network for staff, and remote networks. It can also be used by mobile operators as carrier band channels with or without carrier aggregation with an anchor licensed band channel.

Cyrus, the on-premise mobile edge cloud, can support a variety of network configurations and use cases including: CBRS-only, CBRS and licensed bands on the same system, or add CBRS as an overlay to an existing deployment. It is interoperable with RRHs and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) supporting the CBRS band. It can connect to a DAS with a digital interface or via a low-power analog interface.

This platform provides Carriers, Enterprises, and service providers with maximum flexibility to start with a required service and then add more services and/or operators in the future as needed. On premise edge applications may include: zero-rating video distribution, IoT, AR/VR, and more.

“Cyrus enables secured connectivity and scalable capacity, while collecting and analyzing mobile device and IoT data. We believe that network security, scale and data analytics are key features for enterprises looking to utilize CBRS for private LTE networks” said Eran Bello, Corporate CCO & GM, ASOCS Inc. “This allows them to build a network that best fits their needs so that they can deliver and monetize new services and applications”.

ASOCS will deploy a CBRS network on its Cyrus platform to provide private LTE and internet access services to corporate offices in Las Vegas, Nevada.

ASOCS is demonstrating its Cyrus solution at Mobile World Congress Americas in the West hall, booth number 413A. To schedule a demo please email [email protected].

The level of trust we have with individuals, businesses, and technology affects our lives daily. This is important to remember when discussing new technologies. For example, our level of trust is a critical factor when evaluating a new technology as a potential solution for providing business value. Given the importance of trust, imagine one's reaction upon hearing that blockchain is a "trustless trust" system. On the surface, that does sound like an oxymoron. This paper discusses how "trustless...
