ASG Technologies Unveils Winners of Inaugural Excellence Awards

ASG Technologies today announced the winners of its inaugural Excellence Awards, naming Accenture as “Partner of the Year” and Citi as “Innovator of the Year.” Accenture and Citi were recognized for their innovative use of ASG’s solutions to shape the future of the Information Economy with their innovative and mission-critical projects.

ASG evaluated Partner of the Year candidates based on nominees’ efforts to extend and enhance ASG’s unique go-to-market strategy and the offerings they have developed around ASG’s products. Accenture, a leading global professional services company, is working with ASG on many customer engagements and recently launched its “Data Lineage-as-a-Service” offering. With many trained resources, Accenture leads all ASG alliance partners with its sales and technical skills. Accenture has proactively uncovered many new applications for ASG’s Data Intelligence solution, which enables organizations to automate complex data management activities while ensuring security and compliance.

“The tightening regulatory environment has created unprecedented difficulties for organizations as they try to glean insights from their data assets,” said Bob Doyle, North American data governance lead at Accenture. “At Accenture, we work closely with our clients to ensure they are able to gather these valuable insights without compromising compliance. ASG’s data lineage capabilities have been a key tool for us in this process, especially those in sensitive industries such as financial services, healthcare and insurance, where security is paramount.”

“ASG’s partner program is a pivotal component of the growth we’ve experienced,” said Wayne Monk, SVP of global alliances and channel sales at ASG. “The Excellence Awards have given us the opportunity to honor the great work of our alliance partners and recognize them for their innovation using our solutions. We look forward to seeing what additional problems our alliance partners will solve using our products.”

ASG’s Innovator of the Year Award highlights customers using ASG to power innovative projects. Nominations were assessed based on the project’s overall business impact, complexity, vision for the future and focus on digital transformation.

Citi was chosen as Innovator of the Year for its exemplary use of ASG’s Data Intelligence solution. With Data Intelligence, Citi has been able to enhance how it tracks, manages and synthesizes transaction and account data. As a result, the bank is operating more effectively, has a more complete view of data to deliver a better client experience and has been able to reduce the amount of time spent on manual processing, enabling the organization to become nimbler in an ever-changing regulatory environment.

“ASG’s solutions have been a key driver of many of our transformative projects,” said Mike Smith, SVP of data strategy and governance, U.S. Retail Banking at Citi. “We always want to ensure our data is protected and compliant. With ASG’s products, we have enhanced efficiency, compliance and security and are driving forward our digital transformation efforts to deliver the best experience for our customers.”

“Citi’s initiative is an impressive example of the innovative ways ASG’s customers use its solutions to solve complex challenges,” said Geoffrey Bock, principal at Bock & Company and an Excellence Awards judge with more than 30 years of industry experience. “With ASG’s solutions, customers can be sure they are delivering a top-notch experience without compromising end-to-end security and compliance.”

The Excellence Award winners will be recognized at ASG’s second annual customer and partner event, EVOLVE18, taking place Oct. 1-3 in Chicago. To learn more about EVOLVE18 or to register, please visit the event website and follow us on Twitter for updates using #ASGEVOLVE18.

92% of enterprises are using the public cloud today. As a result, simply being in the cloud is no longer enough to remain competitive. The benefit of reduced costs has normalized while the market forces are demanding more innovation at faster release cycles. Enter Cloud Native! Cloud Native enables a microservices driven architecture. The shift from monolithic to microservices yields a lot of benefits - but if not done right - can quickly outweigh the benefits. The effort required in monitoring,...
As you know, enterprise IT conversation over the past year have often centered upon the open-source Kubernetes container orchestration system. In fact, Kubernetes has emerged as the key technology -- and even primary platform -- of cloud migrations for a wide variety of organizations. Kubernetes is critical to forward-looking enterprises that continue to push their IT infrastructures toward maximum functionality, scalability, and flexibility. As they do so, IT professionals are also embr...
Signs of a shift in the usage of public clouds are everywhere. Previously, as organizations outgrew old IT methods, the natural answer was to try the public cloud approach; however, the public platform alone is not a complete solution. Complaints include unpredictable/escalating costs and mounting security concerns in the public cloud. Ultimately, public cloud adoption can ultimately mean a shift of IT pains instead of a resolution. That's why the move to hybrid, custom, and multi-cloud will ...

Docker is sweeping across startups and enterprises alike, changing the way we build and ship applications. It's the most prominent and widely known software container platform, and it's particularly useful for eliminating common challenges when collaborating on code (like the "it works on my machine" phenomenon that most devs know all too well). With Docker, you can run and manage apps side-by-side - in isolated containers - resulting in better compute density. It's something that many developer...
DevOps is under attack because developers don’t want to mess with infrastructure. They will happily own their code into production, but want to use platforms instead of raw automation. That’s changing the landscape that we understand as DevOps with both architecture concepts (CloudNative) and process redefinition (SRE). Rob Hirschfeld’s recent work in Kubernetes operations has led to the conclusion that containers and related platforms have changed the way we should be thinking about DevOps and...

In a recent survey, Sumo Logic surveyed 1,500 customers who employ cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). According to the survey, a quarter of the respondents have already deployed Docker containers and nearly as many (23 percent) are employing the AWS Lambda serverless computing framework. It's clear: serverless is here to stay. The adoption does come with some needed changes, within both application development and operations. Th...
