Entrust Datacard procède à l'acquisition de la société Safelayer, basée à Barcelone

Entrust Datacard, fournisseur leader de solutions technologiques de validation des identités et de sécurisation des transactions, a annoncé aujourd'hui que la société avait procédé à l'acquisition de Safelayer Secure Communications S.A., fournisseur leader de logiciels de sécurité pour les infrastructures à clés publiques (ICP), d'authentification multi-facteurs, de signature électronique, de cryptage des données, et de protection des transactions électroniques. Cette acquisition permet à la société de poursuivre l'expansion de sa présence de marché et de ses capacités techniques en Europe continentale et en Amérique latine.

À l'heure où les écosystèmes numériques continuent de s'étendre au-delà du périmètre, et dans un monde au sein duquel toutes les industries passent au numérique, il est important que les entreprises appuient leurs employés, clients et partenaires via un accès fiable et sécurisé aux informations, applications et réseaux dont ils ont besoin dans le cadre de leur travail. Néanmoins, en conférant aux utilisateurs un accès sur une multitude de plateformes – mobiles, ordinateurs portables, ordinateurs de bureau, smartphones – les entreprises numériques créent également des vulnérabilités qu'elles ne rencontraient pas nécessairement auparavant. En appliquant des solutions de certificat sécurisé, les entreprises capitalisent sur l'activité numérique, tout en garantissant une sécurité.

La technologie eID de Safelayer est utilisée dans le cadre de projets d'identité électronique impliquant des individus et des objets connectés, ainsi que dans le cadre de l'adoption de services de sécurisation pour les communications Internet et mobiles. La technologie de Safelayer est utilisée pour identifier électroniquement des individus (employés et citoyens) et des appareils connectés (équipements et logiciels), ainsi que pour générer des services de sécurisation dans les réseaux télématiques de type réseaux Internet et mobiles.

Outre ces opportunités d'expansion sur le marché, l'acquisition confère également à Entrust Datacard la technologie de signature numérique de Safelayer, une technologie de premier ordre conforme à la réglementation eIDAS. La solution de signature numérique est une plateforme complète pour les services de sécurisation eIDAS, qui combine authentification, ouverture de session unique (SSO) et fédération des identités ; la solution incorpore les ICP pour la mise en œuvre de fonctions de signature électronique. Cette plateforme flexible fournit des services de signature à la fois basés sur serveur et sur appareil mobile.

Safelayer possède son siège à Barcelone, en Espagne, ainsi que des bureaux supplémentaires à Madrid. Entrust Datacard conservera les bureaux et employés visés par l'acquisition.
