Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

Zipit Wireless Inc. Launches the Zipit Wireless Messenger 2
New Product Provides Teens with a Portable, Personalized and Cutting-Edge Instant Messaging Experience with No Monthly or Per Me

GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Zipit Wireless Inc. today announced the launch of the Zipit(R) Wireless Messenger 2 (Z2). The new Zipit is a sleek portable, Wi-Fi instant messaging (IM) device that provides teens convenient access to IM without tying up, or being tied to, the family computer.

The Z2 is the only device that offers wireless IM connectivity with no monthly or per message fees and supports all the major IM platforms -- AOL, Yahoo and MSN. On any home wireless network or any open or free wireless "hotspot," the Z2 allows teens to have multiple, concurrent conversations with their friends, across all popular IM networks at no cost.

During the last five years, IM has exploded in popularity and is now the number one text based communication choice for teens. More than 16 million teens IM on a regular basis. While texting on cell phones has grown in popularity, it cannot take the place of the immersive, instantaneous and simultaneous social network experience of IMing.

With 90 percent of U.S. teens sharing a computer, the handheld Z2 eliminates feuds caused by teens tying up the family computer to keep in touch with their friends and gives the user the freedom of portability.

Parents value the Z2 for resolving the conflicts caused by sharing a computer and for doing away with unsolicited messages from strangers or access to inappropriate Web sites. Parents also value the simplicity of the Z2 as all that is required is an existing IM account. There are no monthly or per message fees.

In addition, the Z2 includes a fully capable music player called "MyTunez(TM)" that provides instant access to music collections stored on an optional Mini-SD card or streamed from the Internet. Teens can also view photos and slideshows with the built-in "MyPhotoz(TM)" feature. To compliment the new Z2 device, the Zipit Web site, http://www.zipitwireless.com/, takes users to an interactive, virtual city where they can learn more about the Z2 device, play games and personalize their Z2 with backgrounds, themes and other content.

The Z2 was recognized for its uniqueness at the 2007 DigitalLife consumer electronics event in New York when it was selected as one of the show's most innovative products and named to the DigitalLife Innovator Class of 2007.

"We are very excited to introduce the new Zipit Z2," said Frank Greer, CEO and president of Zipit Wireless Inc. "The Z2 takes the best attributes of the original Zipit Messenger and leverages state-of-the-art technology, design and development to provide even greater value to teens. With terrific new features like the ability to play music, view photos, and customize the appearance, the Z2 not only gives teens an easy, cost-free means to IM their friends but also the ability to create and communicate their own personal style."

The Zipit Wireless Messenger 2 can be pre-ordered for $149.99 exclusively at http://www.zipitwireless.com/ beginning October 1, 2007.
