Safe-T Enhances Software-defined Access Solution

Announces New Version and Roadmap to Help Enterprises Combat Growing Data Protection Challenges

HERZLIYA, Israel, Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

Safe-T® (NASDAQ: SFET) (TASE: SFET), a leading provider of Software-defined Access (SDA) solutions for the hybrid cloud, today announced the availability of the newest version of the company's SDA offering. It includes a raft of new features designed to optimize the protection of sensitive data by helping enterprises control access and usage.

Data protection has emerged as one of the most pressing imperatives for the coming years in light of increasing regulations, and the persistent and growing threats from hackers of all types, from lone wolves to state sponsored actors. The move to modernize IT can unwittingly create new vulnerabilities.

Safe-T has invested heavily in innovation and acquisition of key technologies, and is positioned to move into 2019 with a new round of product line improvements, as well as an aggressive roadmap that can help customers stay ahead of these challenges.

Safe-T's SDA solution is designed to provide organizations end-to-end data protection by controlling access to data as well as usage of data. Built on the company's patented reverse-access technology, Safe-T's solution reduces the attack surface of a network by controlling the entire access lifecycle of an application, including file monitoring and permission controls.

Safe-T's SDA is comprised of two components which have been greatly enhanced:

  • Safe-T Secure Data Access, Safe-T's software-defined perimeter solution (SDP) which was recently highlighted in a Gartner report on SDP and helps mask critical data at the perimeter, while limiting access to only those authorized.
  • Safe-T Secure Data Exchange, which protects both incoming and outgoing data and gives security teams the power to broker, control, and secure data usage and exchanges.

"Securing data and applications is essential for every enterprise's security toolkit," said Yabing Wang, chief security officer and advisory board member. "Digital transformation and cloud migration add new challenges and can create vulnerabilities. The latest solutions can help organizations stay on the cutting edge without putting its information and network at risk."

This release of SDA is the first to include user behavior analysis, based on technology from the acquisition of CyKick Labs in July. Safe-T Telepath detects anomalies in access and usage patterns and flags activities that seems suspicious.

"The stakes have never been higher for data protection," said Shachar Daniel, CEO of Safe-T. "Our latest enhancements and solution roadmap are designed to help organizations secure their most critical information assets, now and in the future. Watch for new features and products in the coming months."
