JAMAICA, N.Y., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultramain Systems, Inc. announced today that North American Airlines ("NAA"), an FAA-certified U.S. Flag Air Carrier based at JFK airport, is now in live production with ULTRAMAIN maintenance and logistics management software.
Following a smooth transition to live production use of ULTRAMAIN following Ultramain Systems' FastPath(TM) implementation methodology, NAA's Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Control, Maintenance Programs, Engineering, Line Maintenance, Tech Records, Stores, Purchasing, Component Repair, Inventory Control, Supply, Accounts, and Quality Control departments are now using ULTRAMAIN successfully to complete real-time integrated transactions necessary to maintain NAA's fleet of Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft.
According to Martin Wax, NAA's vice president of Maintenance and Engineering, NAA is looking forward to the benefits of having an integrated, comprehensive maintenance and logistics management system. "We selected ULTRAMAIN because of its robust functionality and integrated design, which will enable greater productivity by our maintenance and supply chain teams. Having a central system that supports our business processes allows us to spend less time coordinating different software solutions, and more time being productive." Wax added, "We can already identify improvements with data integrity. Since going live, we are seeing the benefits of an integrated solution as individuals become more aware of the value of their input to the overall success of the business process."
The Ultramain Systems team that is assisting with the implementation conducted intensive on-site training for NAA's end users in advance of the go-live operation. Eric Todd, the leader of the ULTRAMAIN implementation team, said, "The transition from project implementation to live operations is well underway and the NAA users are impressed with ULTRAMAIN's capabilities." Todd added, "Credit must be given to the NAA implementation team led by NAA Product Manager Mark Drake. Their collaboration with the USI team and the internal NAA user community demonstrated first-class teamwork that was important to the project's success."
Ultramain Systems' President Mark McCausland said, "We are pleased that NAA is now live with ULTRAMAIN and experiencing the benefits of the software's extensive capabilities. This is the first go-live for our latest and most powerful ULTRAMAIN release to date, Release 8.1E, which has been in the design-develop-test process for much of 2006 and 2007. Now that Release 8.1E is live, it will help NAA achieve excellent efficiency gains in their business operations."
