Plone and Drupal: Different Approaches, Different Results
paul.nowak wrote: Matt, thanks for the comments. I made an error on the version of Plone. It's 2.5 Plone running on Zope 2.9x. In regards to the additional products, we have a skin installed and we have a product that we had custom developed for us that connects to a PostgreSQL database. We've looked at slow PostgreSQL queries causing problems and have not been able to find an issue. We've also tested for the case where the PostgreSQL server is down and have not been able to create an issue. We therefor...

TAIPEI, TAIWAN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/16/07 -- Intel Developer Forum Booth A36 -- ColdWatt Inc. has expanded its digital power conversion portfolio to include platforms aimed at blade and high end server architectures, as well as rack-optimized servers. ColdWatt's second generation products, the 1625W power supply and 750W power sub-system, pack high efficiency and industry-leading density in a compact form factor that surpasses industry efficiency-level targets. With ColdWatt's energy efficient solutions, IT equipment vendors can decrease their operational expenditures and help their server customers achieve their green IT goals.

ColdWatt is introducing its latest digital power supplies at the Intel Developer Forum in Taiwan this week (booth # A36). Digital power conversion platforms are fundamental to achieving high overall system efficiency and higher system reliability. The dense form factor of ColdWatt's 1625W power supply is ideal for blade applications that strive for high performance density. ColdWatt's 1U 750W AC-DC power subsystem is designed with a narrow form factor and superior power density, allowing customers in the sub-$25K server market to achieve better thermal performance and improved data center efficiency compared to commodity power solutions.

"At ColdWatt, we are manically focused on delivering products that enable cost-conscious OEMs to leapfrog their competition with cutting edge performance density and lower overall power consumption," said Joe Lamoreux, ColdWatt's CEO. "Our 1625W and 750W solutions have been designed with customer applications in mind to maximize efficiency across a wide load range and deliver the most useable power, resulting in lower total cost of ownership for IT equipment manufacturers."

1U 1625W power module

ColdWatt's 1625W power module delivers 90 percent efficiency with a power density of >18 watts per cubic inch, simplifying thermal management and delivering more useable power than competing solutions. The 1625W power supply includes ColdWatt's "Black Box" feature, which enables system designers to deliver increased reliability and traceability for end users. Critical power parameters such as Vin, Vout and temperature are continuously monitored and stored at the time of a fault for retrieval and post processing.

1U 750W AC-DC power subsystem

ColdWatt's 1U 750W AC-DC power subsystem is designed with a narrow form factor to deliver superior power density and > 90 percent efficiency at > 20 percent load. It is form-factor compatible with the 650W AC-DC power subsystem, allowing existing customers to scale up their designs with new features and leverage their existing power sub-system design. Using ColdWatt's redundant power subsystem, designers are able to increase the reliability of their systems and provide dense server configurations, while addressing the demanding space, heat and cost factors of today's rapidly evolving server environments. Thermal management is simplified and data center efficiency is significantly improved compared to commodity power solutions.

"Green" product development

As an inaugural member of both The Green Grid and Climate Savers Computing Initiative, ColdWatt is committed to green IT product development. From inception, ColdWatt has been shipping products that exceed existing industry standards. In fact, ColdWatt has already surpassed the 88-percent light load energy-efficiency target set for 2009 by Climate Savers with the 750W power sub-system sampling today.

About ColdWatt

ColdWatt's focus on innovative power conversion technologies delivers market-leading energy efficient and power density solutions for the computing, networking, storage and telecommunications markets. System design engineers rely on ColdWatt to answer the challenge for reliable power conversion solutions that minimize heat dissipation and reduce space requirements. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, ColdWatt has technology centers in Dallas and Bangalore, India. For more information, visit www.coldwatt.com.
