Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

Enables Developers to Commercialize a Single Mobile Application on the Top 12 Handset Models for Free

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/23/07 -- CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 (Booth #1250)-Tira Wireless today announced the release and general availability of the Tira Jump Developer Desktop Go Mobile Edition. This free version of the company's innovative Jump Developer Desktop enables developers and publishers that are new to the mobile market to create a single application for commercial use on up to 12 market-leading handsets. The Go Mobile Edition is available for download from www.tirawireless.com.

The Jump Developer Desktop was developed by Tira Wireless to address the enormous challenges of creating and deploying applications for the mobile platform. It is an integral part of Tira Jump 2008 and the Mobile Content Lifecycle Management solution offered by Tira Wireless, and enables users to overcome the complexity of device fragmentation by managing the development, porting and optimization of applications across multiple handsets, mobile operators, and geographies. While the Jump Developer Desktop has historically only been available to users of the Tira Jump platform, the Go Mobile Edition now provides developers and content providers that are new to the mobile market with the tools required to quickly and easily create a single application for deployment on 12 devices, and target a significant number of mobile phone subscribers at zero cost.

"There are thousands of developers that have creative ideas for mobile content, yet lack the tools that are essential in creating a commercially viable application," said Tony de la Lama, senior vice president of product management and marketing at Tira Wireless. "What we are offering is a free, no strings attached way for these developers to not only bring their concepts to life but also potentially reach millions of subscribers."

A non-commercial version of the Jump Developer Desktop Go Mobile Edition is also available for free. It will enable casual developers and teaching institutions to explore the mobile market by creating and porting as many applications as they would like - for testing, research, education or other non-commercial purposes - to any of the 1,253 handsets currently profiled in the Tira Wireless knowledgebase. Users of this version can easily switch to the free commercial Go Mobile Edition with support for 12 devices if they plan to commercialize an application.

Developers and publishers that would like broader distribution of a single application at a lower cost can obtain a full Jump Developer Desktop license. For a $2,500 per year subscription fee, developers - such as those creating social networking (Web 2.0) and other single applications - can deploy one title to an unlimited number of handsets. For a $10,000 per year subscription fee, larger, more established development houses and content publishers with multiple titles can develop, port and optimize any and all of their content across an unlimited number of handsets.
