Although SOA has reached the point where it generally is considered to be a good idea, BEA's Deputy CTO Theo Beack is concerned that much of the resources dedicated to the modern enterprise infrastructure are under utilized. "There is much untapped potential within the typical enterprise. This is where the combination of SOA and Virtualization appears to be a natural fit," he notes.
Beack is giving a presentation in General Session on Monday to the entire delegation from all over the world who will be in San Francisco at SOA World Conference & Expo 2007, co-located with Virtualization Conference & Expo 2007 at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco.
In his presentation, "Virtualized SOA: Adaptive Infrastructure for Demanding Applications," he will explore the role of virtualized containers and the notion of 'adaptive infrastructure'. He'l be taking a look at the emergence of new ideas and capabilities of how SOA infrastructure has to change to meet the growing demands being placed upon it.
As Deputy CTO Theo focuses at BEA on researching technology trends and the impact they will have on BEA’s technology strategy. During his time at the company he has been responsible for research on Social Computing, Web2.0, SaaS, AJAX/RIA, etc.
