Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

Janel World Trade Subsidiary in Agreement to Provide Global Sourcing Solution to AB&T Telecom
Janel World Trade Subsidiary in Agreement to Provide Global Sourcing Solution to AB&T Telecom

By: PR Newswire
Dec. 12, 2007 01:30 PM

JAMAICA, N.Y. and CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Janel World Trade, Ltd. (BULLETIN BOARD: JLWT) , a full-service global provider of integrated logistics services and related technology solutions, today announced that its wholly-owned Order Logistics, Inc. subsidiary has agreed to partner with Premier Resources International (PRI) to provide a global sourcing solution for AB&T Telecom. This agreement will include an exclusive sourcing arrangement for wireless phones and accessories, custom configuration, and end-to-end logistics directly to the end user.

The solution will be supported by a powerful web-based "Global Sourcing Execution System" ("S3") powered by Order Logistics' Solve (IT)2 platform. "This partnership will revolutionize the way AB&T Telecom delivers complete wireless solutions to its customers," stated Huey Long, President of Premier Resources International.

"Going directly to the source, and configuring individual phones for consumers, in China, will allow AB&T to significantly enhance its competitiveness in the marketplace," noted Emmet Tydings, President of AB&T Telecom. "The solution will provide an immediate basis for a new paradigm in the way wireless phones are sourced, configured and delivered. It will also eliminate costly steps in the current wireless phone supply chain and increase the speed and efficiency of getting customized wireless phones to our customers."

"This relationship with AB&T Telecom, along with other recently announced contracts, illustrate the synergies that are already being realized following Janel's acquisition of Order Logistics' business assets in October 2007," stated James Jannello, Chief Executive Officer of Janel World Trade, Ltd. "As a growing number of manufacturers and retailers seek to reduce costs by outsourcing merchandise, products and components from China and other Far Eastern countries, the management of 'in-transit' inventories becomes increasingly critical. By integrating Order Logistics' web-based information technology solutions with Janel's freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and warehousing capabilities, we move closer to our goal of providing a 'total sourcing solution' that can increase our share of the $300 billion global logistics industry."
