Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

WATERLOO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/10/08 -- LiveHive Systems(TM), a pioneer in interactive television, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) that will bring interactive television to five Leafs TV broadcasts of Toronto Maple Leafs games.

Beginning with tonight's game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Toronto Maple Leafs, fans watching on Leafs TV or via NHL Centre Ice will be able to participate in a five-game contest that involves interaction with live hockey. Powered by LiveHive's NanoGaming technology, the game -- called Leafs TV Game Master -- allows fans to play along while they watch, accumulate points, and qualify for prizes. Players make such predictions as who will get the next goal, as well as answer trivia questions, and chat with other fans. To play, viewers go online to www.mapleleafs.com/gamemaster before each game and click on the 'Launch the Game' button.

"Hockey is Canada's national game and the many viewers of our most watched team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, will now be able to see for themselves how hockey telecasts can be interactive," said Robert Riopelle, Co-Founder and Vice President, Business Development, LiveHive Systems.

Previously, LiveHive brought its NanoGaming technology to football, baseball, NASCAR, Mixed Martial Arts, and reality TV.

"We are pleased to announce our partnership with LiveHive Systems," said Chris Hebb, Senior VP of Broadcast & Content, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE). "Bringing interactivity to Maple Leafs hockey is an exciting way to get our fans even more engaged."
