Mobile Software: MobiForms Mobile Development Tool Now Certified With The Open-Source HSQLDB Database

New Mobile Development Tool

MobiForms includes a free copy of HSQLDB for server, standalone or mobile database applications, complementing the MobiForms Developer tool and the Mobiforms runtime interpreter. MobiForms offers all the tools in one box for the creation and deployment of any type of mobile application – from surveys to field service, from signature capture to bar coding.

New features include timers, SMTP email and commands that dynamically change object attributes at runtime like font colors and sizes. The Deployment Wizard has been extended to include more device and operating environment combinations, and a tab for database deployment.

According to the project manager from a UK based CCTV installer "We were attracted to MobiForms because it offered us the ability to quickly create one version of the same application that would run on multiple types of PDA with no limits of the number of users – all included in a one off developer license."

MobiForms is a rapid application development tool for building mobile applications for just about any wireless platform including Tablet PC, Pocket PC, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Smartphone, Symbian and Palm. MobiForms is aimed at novice or expert users alike who do not want to spend hours writing complex code like Java or C++. Instead professional mobile applications can be created and deployed in minutes using the intuitive MobiForms drag and drop interface, with the data tied seamlessly back to corporate systems.
