FalconStor Software, Inc. announced that the FalconStor Virtual Tape Library (VTL) was the storage industry’s most frequently cited virtual tape library in TheInfoPro’s latest Storage Study. TheInfoPro is a New York-based independent research network and leading supplier of market intelligence for the Information Technology industry.

TheInfoPro conducted one-on-one interviews with storage decision makers at over 150 Fortune 1000 companies, asking if they were currently using a Virtual Tape Library, who they were using, and who they were considering installing. The FalconStor Virtual Tape Library was cited by more than 40 percent of the interviewees.

References to the FalconStor VTL referred to the product as sold either in the channel or through an original equipment manufacturer.
