Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. BOSTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/14/08 -- NDIA selected nTAG's interactive badge system to
achieve key objectives in support of the Department of Homeland Security
S&T Stakeholders Conference-West event held last month.
The nTAG interactive name badges were used to improve networking among
attendees, make available personalized electronic agendas, and submit
responses to surveys in real time and to participate in live polling during
15 of the conference's sessions.
During the event, attendees were polled on top industry and security
concerns and the accumulated responses were shown graphically in real time
on stage. This not only gave the audience the opportunity to actively
participate in the session, it also showed how their concerns matched up
with those of the rest of the Homeland Security community. For NDIA and
for the speakers, this provided an immediate mechanism to get a temperature
for attendees views, which in turn let them direct the content to focus on
relevant areas.
"While the nTAG interactive name badges possess a multitude of features to
improve the overall event 'experience,' the capability most impressive to
me is the real time survey response capability that allows speakers to poll
the audience on key attitudes and opinions and gain immediate responses
projected on the video screen for all to see," said Barry Bates, NDIA Vice
President-Operations. "Employed with a set of fixed questions at the
beginning and end of the DHS Homeland Security Stakeholders
Conference-West, we were able to gauge the success of the event in terms of
the degree to which queried attitudes and opinions changed from the
beginning to the end of the event."
"The continued use of nTAG by NDIA for their events demonstrates the strong
support and appreciation of our technology," said David Goretski, CEO,
nTAG. "We are pleased by their overall satisfaction and how nTAG helped
contribute to their meeting's success."
nTAG's electronic business card exchange capability made it easy for
attendees to engage in conversations and collect contact information. 3180
business cards were exchanged among attendees. nTAG also provided lead
retrieval for the expo booths and data collection on booth traffic for
NDIA. Expo booths with the highest traffic attained over 100 visits by
attendees.
Real time session surveys, which attendees completed electronically on
their nTAGs, clearly indicated that certain sessions stood out as highly
engaging and valuable to the audience. With this data, NDIA can make better
and more confident decisions on speakers and content for their future
events.
