(Nasdaq: SPCHA, SPCHB) is proud to celebrate the grand opening of its new
42,000 sq. ft. store located at 21566 South Ellsworth Loop Road, Queen Creek,
Arizona 85242. The Queen Creek store will be Sport Chalet's 53rd location and
8th store in the Arizona market.
A grand opening celebration and sale is scheduled for Friday, August 15th
through Sunday, August 17th. Activities will include demonstrations, raffles
and giveaways. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, the first 200
customers who are in line before the store opens and who sign up for Action
Pass(TM) (our free customer rewards program) will receive a Sport Chalet gift
card valued anywhere from $10 to $200. On Friday at 8:30 a.m., Sport Chalet
Chairman and CEO Craig Levra, Queen Creek Mayor Art Sanders, Chairperson of
the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce Rustyn Sherer, along with Sport Chalet's
Queen Creek General Manager, Miryka Tonjes will kick off the festivities with
a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony. The Josh Gottry Steel Drum Band will
perform at the opening ceremony.
Free introductory SCUBA lessons will be held at our on-site SCUBA training
pool on Saturday and Sunday. Customers may also enter to win $17,000 worth of
prizes and gift cards from many of our well known brands including adidas,
Coleman, Garmin, Wilson, Speedo, New Balance and Nike all weekend long.
