Auto-Graphics, Inc. (OTCBB: AUGR) (Pink Sheets:AUGR), a technology
innovator providing library automation solutions for over 36 years,
today reported that operating income was $74,000 for the quarter ended
June 30, 2008, up $62,000 from $12,000 for the same period in 2007. This
performance represents 26 quarters in which Auto-Graphics has delivered
a positive operating income. Operating income for the six months ended
June 30, 2008, was $131,000, up $41,000 from $90,000 for the same period
in 2007.
Auto-Graphics net sales were $1,395,000 for the quarter ended June 30,
2008, up $83,000 from $1,312,000 for the same period in 2007. Net sales
for the six months ended June 30, 2008, was $2,800,000, up $146,000 from
$2,654,000 in 2007.
Net income was $75,000 for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, up $63,000
from $12,000 for the same period in 2007. Basic and diluted earnings per
share for the quarter were $0.02 per share in 2008, compared to $0.00
per share in 2007. Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2008,
was $134,000, up $40,000 from $94,000 for the same period in 2007. Basic
and diluted earnings per share for the six months were $0.03 per share
in 2008, compared to $0.02 per share in 2007.
In the second quarter, Auto-Graphics continued to grow by expanding
sales of its AGent VERSO™ integrated library
system through a substantial agreement with the US government, as well
as additional contracts with both public libraries and academic
institutions.
Auto-Graphics also saw increased revenue through enhanced value to
existing contracts in which current customers initiated options for
additional services available to them for the company’s
resource sharing products, including incorporating NCIP for
circulation-based ILL and ISO ILL for the traditional resource sharing
model.
