AirTran Airways Business Class is on Sale

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today launched a sale for travel with Business Class fares starting as low as $134*. Travelers may purchase these sale fares at http://www.airtran.com or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.

The special Business Class fares are available for purchase through August 22, 2008, and are good for travel through October 8, 2008. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or an overnight stay.

Following is a sample of the one-way Business Class sale fares. All fares require a three-day advance purchase and are valid in either direction:

* Business Class Sale Terms and Conditions: All fares are one-way. One bag per person may be checked free of charge, and a 2nd bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person. Reservations may be obtained or changed through an AirTran Airways Telephone Reservations Center for an additional $15 per person. Three-day advance purchase required. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Tickets must be purchased by August 22, 2008. Sale fares are valid for travel through October 8, 2008. Blackout dates are as follows: August 28-29, 2008 and September 1, 2008. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares do not include per-segment tax of $3.50. A segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. The September 11th security fee of up to $10 is not included. Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18 are not included. Fares to/from Puerto Rico do not include additional government taxes of up to $30.80.
