With the arrival of new standards, AJAXified JSF Components like IceFaces to RichFaces became a reality that can be portable across the many JSR-168 portlet containers implementations, in the commercial or open source worlds. During this presentation, we will explain how this has been made possible and how one can write such portlets.
Speaker Bio: Wesley Hales is currently the lead JBoss Portal UI Engineer at JBoss, a division of Red Hat. He is a member of the Expert Group for theJSR-301 specification and is currently an open source committer on various JBoss and Apache projects.
Wesley is also the project leader for the JBoss Portlet Bridge project, which allows him to constantly stay in touch with the 3 most innovative and new technologies in middleware today: SOA and componentized frameworks (Seam), AJAX (RichFaces), and SSO, personalization, and security (Portal).
