Sorenson Media today announced its Sorenson Squeeze application won the
2008 Streaming Media magazine Readers’
Choice Award for Encoding Software. This is the second year in a row
Sorenson Squeeze has won the top prize in its category.
“Congratulations to Sorenson Media,”
said Streaming Media editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen. “It
is significant that Sorenson Squeeze was voted top choice for encoding
by our readers, who are the software end users.”
Streaming Media magazine, one of the industry’s
leading multimedia resources, announced the Readers’
Choice Awards results during a reception at the Sainte Claire Hotel in
San Jose, Calif. on Sept. 24. The awards reception was part of the
annual Streaming Media West 2008 event held at San Jose’s
McEnery Convention Center. The awards were decided by votes from 3,893
users of multimedia software.
“Winning the readers choice two years in a
row shows that our core values of easy-to-use, high-quality video really
resonate with our customers,” said Matt
Cupal, president and COO of Sorenson Media. “This
award is special because it comes directly from the users of our
software, which is the ultimate endorsement of any product.”
