A new division of Solid Concepts is now offering an “Order

through a new self-service website, www.ZoomRP.com
. The service has been running in a beta mode offering PolyJet White
plastic parts since August 1. ZoomRP.com
is now announcing the addition of SLA White and SLS White Plastic parts
effective October 31, 2008.
“We have 31 rapid prototyping machines backing
the new product offering,” stated Chuck
Alexandar, Sr. Production Manager at Solid
Concepts. “That’s
more capacity than anyone else has to offer, and with that capacity we
can offer speed that others can’t.”
www.ZoomRP.com
offers white PolyJet parts that can be “Shipped
Today” providing that STL files pass a
screening system to assures the promised delivery will be met, and are
ordered on the site no later than 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. The SLA
White and SLS White products are offered for a “Ship
Tomorrow” delivery.
“The beauty of this system is that someone is
able to upload a part today and have it in their hands for an important
meeting tomorrow,” said Scot Thompson,
Business Development Manager for Solid
Concepts. “We’ve
also partnered with FedEx to provide Priority Overnight Delivery to our
U.S. based customers at a very reasonable cost.”
PolyJet prototypes are best suited for applications where accuracy,
detail, and surface finish are critical, and where the part fits within
a 5” x 5” x 5”
(127mm x 127mm x 127mm) build volume. (The maximum PolyJet build volume
is 19.3” x 15.4” x
7.9” (490mm x 390mm x 200mm). SLA and SLS
parts are suitable for larger sized parts. The SLA process is cost
effective and provides quality models while the SLS process provides
robust Nylon parts.
