To date, there has been no license agreement for the PBGUIControls found at www.PowerToTheBuilder.com. My way of thinking was that this was a good thing for you, the developer. Essentially, I wanted to provide the PowerBuilder Community with a set of tools that they could use without having to worry about copyright or licensing issues. There would be no questions about IP, costs or anything else that naturally comes with open source software. It's yours to use how you wish.

There was one thing that I didn't consider and that was protecting myself from liabilities. A license agreement is an agreement between two parties, the provider of the software (me) and the user of the software (you). It's meant to protect both parties. With that said, I've now added an EULA to the PBGUIControls. You must agree to the terms before downloading.

Here is the gist of the agreement. You can use the controls as you wish like you are today. Free of IP and copyright issues. PowerToTheBuilder (me), will provide the software as is without any warranty. Essentially, I can't be held liable for anything that goes wrong while you use the controls.

That's it. It's a Win-Win-Win for everyone. No restrictions and a clear message about warranty and copyright.
