WASHINGTON, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Washington Technology magazine this week announced its 2006 "Who's Who" list of the top information technology systems integrators serving the state and local government marketplace.
"Washington Technology's annual 'Who's Who' list is the pre-eminent guide to which companies are driving the $47 billion state and local government information technology market," said Nick Wakeman, Editor for Washington Technology.
For the fifth consecutive year, EDS, IBM Corp. and Affiliated Computer Services Inc. maintained their positions atop Washington Technology's "Who's Who" list. Each company has more than $1 billion in annual state and local revenue. The other 11 companies on the list have at least $100 million in state and local revenue.
No new names were added to the list in 2005, but Northrop Grumman jumped into the $500 million to $1 billion echelon in state/local IT prime contracting, joining Accenture Ltd., Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Maximus Inc. and Unisys Corp. in the list's second tier.
Market research firm Federal Sources Inc., McLean Va., compiled the list and ranked systems integrators by their estimated 2005 revenue from state and local IT services work. The Washington Technology editors provided research and interpretation to create the complete editorial package around the listing.
