experts have made recommendations to the ballot for the second annual LA
Fashion Awards and ranked their top choices for honors on October 20 at
LA's exclusive fashion industry event recognizing the best and brightest
fashion design, branding and merchandising talents based in Southern
California. Votes are collected online by the event's producers and
verified with the participation of accounting firm Moss Adams LLP, founding
sponsor of the LA Fashion Awards and creator of the MAFI (Moss Adams
Fashion Innovator) Award. Nominees will be announced to the media in
August.

The Award categories for 2006 include the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator

based on stock price performance for a California fashion brand.
October 20, 2006 marks the second annual LA Fashion Awards, slated to take
place at the Orpheum Theatre. The event is perfectly timed to close LA
Fashion Week and open LA Market Week for the Spring 2007 season. Doors open
at 7pm for red carpet arrivals, cocktails and appetizers from some of LA's
finest restaurants. The awards show begins in the theatre auditorium at
8pm. A limited supply of tickets will be available to the public through
Ticketmaster.com in September.
