PALO ALTO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/09/07 -- LiveOps, the leader in distributed contact
center solutions, today announced that Mercedes Ellison has joined the
company as senior vice president of alliances and channels. In this role,
Ellison will lead the company's strategic global alliance and partnerships
strategy.
Ellison brings to LiveOps more than 21 years of experience in the software
industry, most recently as vice president of global partner sales for
Hyperion Solutions, where she was instrumental in driving the company's
growth and position in the market, prior to its acquisition by Oracle
earlier this year.
Ellison's ability to create and leverage a Hyperion Solutions ecosystem of
more than 700 partners helped her earn repeated recognition as one of the
Top 100 Channel Executives by VAR Business Magazine. In 2007 she received
the Power 50 Women in the Channel Award and The 5 Star Partner Program
Award from VAR Business. Also in 2007, she received the prestigious Stevie
Award to honor her exemplary business accomplishments.
Prior to joining Hyperion in 2004, Ellison served as senior vice president
for BEA where she successfully developed and executed the global channel
strategy. She has held senior executive positions in alliances, business
development and sales with companies such as Siebel, Liberate, Oracle and
Bell South.
According to Jon Temple, president of LiveOps, "LiveOps' SaaS business
model provides for a different ecosystem to that of traditional enterprise
software companies. We will definitely benefit from Mercedes' track record
as a proven strategist and leader in creating world-class partner
organizations. She'll be an invaluable asset during this accelerated growth
period."
Added Mercedes Ellison, "With a continued shift towards on-demand
computing, LiveOps is extremely well positioned to take advantage of the
seemingly infinitely scalable opportunity that lies ahead. The success of
its SaaS platform combined with its fast growing virtual community of
work-from-home agents has already attracted a great deal of interest from a
wide variety of third party organizations. It's definitely the right time
to harness partner opportunities. I am honored and thrilled to be joining
the LiveOps executive management team and help lead the company's alliance
and partner strategy."
