Web hosting company, Fat Jack Hosting, has acquired
HostMyProxies.com increasing its lineup of web hosts in order to provide web
hosting to proxy web sites.
The newest acquisition of HostMyproxies.com takes Fat Jack Hosting into
previously uncharted territory. The web hosting provider is now positioned to
provide proxy Web sites with the same high-quality hosting and support with
which it treats its current clients. Proxy Web site owners who would like to
see the server quality, speed and affordable prices Fat Jack Hosting offers can
do so online at Fat Jack's website.
According to the company, a proxy server services the requests of clients by
forwarding them to other servers. Because proxy web sites allow a browser to
remain anonymous while viewing other sites, however, they are often frowned
upon by hosting providers, which is not the case with Fat Jack Hosting.
Nicole Silverstone, Spokesperson at Fat Jack Hosting noted, ''We are thrilled
to be able to welcome proxy Web sites into our ever-expanding fold. We are constantly
on the lookout for marketing methods that will gain us greater exposure. The
acquisition of HostMyProxies.com grants us that exposure. We currently have
never offered any proxy hosting, so the purchase of Host My Proxies will allow
us to add this hosting niche to our lineup of products.''
Other benefits that Fat Jack Hosting expects to reap from the acquisition
include: 1) a modern, unique Web 2.0 layout and design that will easily
integrate with its billing software; 2) a first-page ranking on Google for the terms
''proxy host'' and ''proxy hosting''; 3) 4,000 backlinks according to Yahoo
Site Explorer and 4) the ability to cater to anonymizing, transparent,
non-transparent and reverse proxy servers as well as caching technologies.
Fat Jack Hosting sees caching technologies as being emerging technologies with
the requirements for heavy bandwidth usage, like video, audio and others.
Indeed, according to a 2006 paper, ''Web Users Want Rich Internet
Applications'' by R. Rogowski, ''Users expect interactive content and rich
experiences.'' As a result, if they want to survive, more and more Web sites
will be forced to meet their customers' multimedia demands. And with the
addition of HostMyProxies.com to its repertoire, Fat Jack Hosting is now poised
to seamlessly handle such sites' weightier bandwidth requirements.
In addition,. Fat Jack recently completed a virtualization agreement with
SWsoft server virtualization technology firm. The deployment of the new
software will afford Fat Jack customers with the latest and most stable
virtualization environment. The SWsoft deployment will be a cost-effective
solution for Fat Jack's hosting customers. According to the company, for eight
years, the web host provider has conducted an investigation process which revealed
that SWsoft would be the best choice to provide its virtualization and
automation software. Its product line includes Virtuozzo, the state of the art
operating system virtualization solution. After exhaustive testing, the web
host concluded that SWsoft's suite of virtualization products met and exceeded
other software's capabilities.
Fat Jack offers ongoing 24/7 phone and email support, managed email
deliverability on a daily basis, ip addresses for search engine marketing and
email marketing. The company's stable Linux servers run Apache 1.23 and Zend
All servers are inside their own location in Atlanta for security and management purposes,
rather than a co-located or reseller system. The company offers the latest
stable version of PHP 5.2 and the version of MySQL, a 5.0+ Multi-cycle backup,
and Multiple Peer Network Connections.
