FastScale®
Technology, Inc., provider of next generation software virtualization
and provisioning solutions, today announced that it has joined the HP
BladeSystem Solution Builder Program. By utilizing the technologies of
FastScale and the capabilities of HP Virtual Connect, which permits
real-time changes between server environments and local area network
(LAN) and storage area network (SAN) domains across the data center,
customers can deploy enterprise-class applications on their BladeSystem
servers in seconds, whether servers are physical or virtual.
FastScale’s flagship products, FastScale
Composer Suite and FastScale Virtual Manager, address the urgent market
need for more dynamic software infrastructure in large IT organizations
by delivering an entirely new kind of software virtualization and
provisioning solution. With compact, space-reduced server software
environments built on-demand, provisioned to physical or virtual servers
in seconds, and managed from a central point, the entire server
infrastructure becomes a dynamic pool of resources able to adapt to
constantly changing demands – on the fly.
“Through the BladeSystem Solution Builder
Program, FastScale has access to a wide array of technical, marketing
and collaborative resources which will allow both FastScale and HP to
deliver better products to our mutual customers,”
said Lynn LeBlanc, CEO of FastScale Technology. “The
FastScale goal has always been to give customers the ability to
dynamically manage and deploy software in the data center, whether
servers are physical or virtual. Combining our products with HP’s
BladeSystem provides an ideal solution for enterprise-class computing
and server consolidation.”
The FastScale technology is the only server software solution available
that provides a fully automated approach to building, managing and
deploying server application software stacks in the enterprise. The HP
BladeSystem architecture helps customers of all sizes address the four
key pain points of time, change, cost and energy. Together, customers
will have robust and scalable infrastructure that is more affordable,
maintainable, uses less power and can adapt dynamically to the needs of
the business.
“The BladeSystem Solution Builder Program
gives partners the tools and resources to add unique value for our joint
customers,” said Jim Ganthier, Director,
BladeSystem Division, HP. “FastScale
capabilities combined with HP BladeSystem and Virtual Connect will
enable customers to reduce the size of application stacks while
increasing the speed of bare metal or virtual machine server
provisioning. The FastScale Composer Suite provides new levels of
provisioning flexibility and performance to meet the ever-changing needs
of data centers.”
The HP BladeSystem Solution Builder Program is a global community of
more than 300 technology and service delivery providers who collaborate
with HP and one another to define, develop, deliver and deploy customer
solutions built for HP BladeSystem. Program members include independent
hardware vendors, independent software vendors, system integrators and
service-oriented resellers with a substantial SI practice and expertise
in the rapidly growing blade market.
