Kanguru Solutions, announces the development of the Kanguru Remote Management Console™, a new release from Kanguru that will remotely monitor, manage, and audit activity from specific USB flash drives anywhere in the world.

The Kanguru Remote Management Console (KRMC™) allows administrators to remotely delete and audit selected Kanguru USB flash drives. The management console will have a direct impact on the way confidential or sensitive data will be handled within any enterprise, government, or military organization. If a device is lost or stolen it can be automatically deleted as soon as it is plugged into a computer with network or internet access. Tasks can also be scheduled so you can plan the deletion of all data from certain drives that may contain time sensitive or confidential information.

The KRMC was designed to work specifically with the KanguruDefender Pro, a military grade encrypted, tamperproof flash drive. When a KanguruDefender Pro is connected anywhere in the world, an administrator will be able to see detailed information and activity about the drive. Some features allow the administrator to view where the drive is connected, for what duration and by what host name. If the administrator has chosen to delete a drive’s data, the audit function will verify when the deletion occurs. There is also a feature to export logs to a CSV file making them usable with other applications.

The KRMC will be available in two versions, one hosted on a secure remote server and one that will run on a server within the client’s internal network. Each version will have similar features with some unique options specific to the KRMC version.

Don Brown, President and CEO of Kanguru Solutions, had this to say about the importance of the KRMC, “With millions upon millions of flash drives in the market, all containing sensitive or confidential data, managing them has become critical and up until now, impossible. Our new KRMC solution address this concern directly.”

The Kanguru Remote Management Console is the new wave of data security and will change the way corporations handle misplaced or misused devices.
