National Football League and JumpStart® Kick Off Strategic Relationship With Launch of Learning-Based Games For Kids

New Multi-Platform Games - NFL RUSH GameDay Heroes and NFL RUSH Heroes & Rivals - Aim to Redefine Family Game Night

TORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Football League (NFL) and JumpStart®, the leader in learning-based games for kids, today announced a strategic relationship in which the companies will build and release a series of NFL-themed digital offerings for kids. Under the new deal, JumpStart will manage NFL RUSH ZONE, the league's online gaming world for kids, and has an exclusive license for the development of youth-focused, NFL-branded learning-based games. The first two offerings from JumpStart and the NFL — NFL RUSH GameDay Heroes and NFL RUSH Heroes & Rivals — are launching in conjunction with the start of the 2014 NFL season, and ultimately the portfolio will be available via mobile apps, web browsers, and social media platforms.

The first two NFL games from JumpStart, which are available via iTunes®, Google Play™, Amazon® and are coming soon to Windows®, will redefine the typical "family game night" by bringing families, friends, and players of all ages together for intense, football-themed fun. NFL RUSH GameDay Heroes is an action-packed, multiplayer game where players can compete against friends and family in real-time. Players race against the clock in fun, football-themed mini games like Scrimmage Swap and Laces Out in a frenzy to the top and to earn points for their favorite NFL team.

NFL RUSH Heroes & Rivals, the second game in the series, enables players to represent their favorite NFL teams and become football champions. Players can handpick their team, then train hard with eight mini games designed to help players practice different positions on a football team. Then, players put their skills to the test in a fast-paced matchup against rival teams in a game of Redzone Rivals, where they will need to use smart strategies and their Football I.Q. to earn as many fans as they can.
